Our Journey

Designing Our Dream Into Reality

Official plans of restructuring the badly built farm

4 min read

After the intense weeks of teleconferences with David, he sent us the first draft of the plan. We were really excited about them, to see our ideas finally being portrayed on paper, so it’s time to give you a sneak peek!

The ground floor plan

On the ground floor, we will have a portico area for breakfast, a show kitchen for cooking classes and a luxurious welcoming area for the reception. We will have a total of 6 guest rooms, one garden suite and one tower suite. The garden suite will be on the ground floor, guests who choose to stay in this room will have their own private garden to enjoy and relax in.

The first floor plan

Moving to the first floor, there will be three guest rooms, two of them having their own, south facing balcony so guests can absorb the fresh Tuscan air, enjoy a private breakfast on the terrace, as well as having a captivating bedroom view of the vineyard and forest that surround the farmhouse.

The second floor plan

The third floor plan, with the top of the Tower Suite.

On the second floor, we will have another two larger guest rooms with the best views of the vineyard and natural surroundings; last but not least our flagship tower suite which will feature double height sized rooms and beautiful joyce and timber features, as well as offering views across our cellar over the vineyards.

Which room sounds best suited for you?

Pool zone plan

On the west side of the farmhouse there is a swimming pool, we decided to keep the same shape but we would build a jacuzzi at the end of the pool, to provide our guests with an unwinding swimming pool experience that they deserve! The boundary of the area around the pool would also be extended, so we can lay out more sundeck chairs and tables for a comfortable and chilled atmosphere. The outdoor kitchen that is on our wish list will be created at the end of the pool, where we will have a cocktail bar and poolside BBQ!

David, our project manager, reminded us that after we fix the facade of the farmhouse, the aisle between our two buildings is going to be full of character. We can visualise what he meant, so we are thinking of using that area to host pizza nights, where the stone oven is.

Now we will have to see how the planning application works out!

Pizza nights!

Scott’s brother testing the pizza oven for the first time

Lee, his wife Tracey and son Hayden came to visit us recently for the first time which made it the perfect time to try out the pizza oven! Being our first experience using a pizza oven we thought the pizza came out really tasty and will certainly tantalise taste buds for when our guests start to come. The oven is quite aged so we plan to redesign it with David.

In the image above you can see the aisle between our two buildings. We will be remaking the aisle to accommodate our guests and make space for our pizza nights! There is a lot of construction to be done, with our hard working team it will get started efficiently, keep an eye out for later blogs to see the transformation!
